Welcome to the newly redesigned Elder Scrolls Web site. In addition to the new look, this redesign also signals an increased commitment to providing more information on Morrowind than ever before. Our plan is to continue rolling out news and information on the game right up until the game is launched and to keep it new and exciting. We want you to know just how good the game is without having you grow tired or weary of hearing and seeing the same things over and over. The new site design allows us to provide regular updates on a weekly basis, whether it's new artwork, screenshots, or information from developers.

To start with, we've released the first of several great desktop wallpapers created by Christiane Meister that show off the actual game models for different races in Morrowind. Come back every week to see the latest addition. In this section you're currently visiting, you'll find development updates from Morrowind team members on the aspects of the game they're involved with, whether it be programming or artwork or design. If you haven't already, be sure to read Todd's introduction to the team. Also, be looking for next week's piece by Noah on the fantastic new sky he put into Morrowind (it's officially the first sky in a game I've ever been excited about).

For those not familiar with the Elder Scrolls legacy, you can gather some information on what's taken place in previous games set in the world of the Elder Scrolls in the History section of the Codex. While we've designed Morrowind so that anyone can play and enjoy the game without prior experience with one of our Elder Scrolls titles, learning more about this world gives you an appreciation for the lengths we go to in creating deeply immersive gameplay. We'll continue to expand the Codex with new information about all the many aspects of the game, as well as the ES Construction Set.

We've also made some changes to the official forums to break up the many discussions surrounding Morrowind into more logical groups. Interacting with fans and the Elder Scrolls community is something we've worked very hard at since announcing Morrowind, and something we will continue to do up to and beyond the launch of Morrowind. We don't view Morrowind as some final destination, but rather a single point in a long journey through the world of the Elder Scrolls. As that journey evolves, this site will evolve to keep you abreast of everything going on in and around this wondrous world we've created for gamers.

In the mean time, enjoy the site and the info on Morrowind, and be sure to check back for the latest updates. We look forward to seeing you on the forums.
