Arys family is an ancient Dunmeri lineage that lived in the province of Morrowind. They were affiliated with the Great House Telvanni.[1][2]
They had ties to Tel Branora, and some family members were also known to inhabit the settlement.[2][3]
Moreover, Arys Ancestral Tomb was located in close proximity to the settlement, to the west of Tel Branora, near Azura's Coast. In the Second Era, the tomb was situated on the southern part of a small peninsula, but by the Third Era, it had become separated from mainland Vvardenfell and was located on a small islet instead.[4][5]
HistoryEdit
Second EraEdit
At some point during the Interregnum, before 2E 582 at least one member of the Arys family had already ascended to the rank of Mistress. A Telvanni Mistress from the Arys family was among the twelve influential members of House Telvanni who signed the official refusal to join the Ebonheart Pact.[1] By that time the Arys family had already constructed their family tomb west of Tel Branora.[5] Dralosa Arys was a Telvanni mage, and Tolendos Arys was a sailor. Both inhabited Tel Branora as of 2E 582.[2][3]
Idren Arys, also active in 2E 582, was a member of the Urshilaku Tribe of Ashlanders and could be found in Ald'ruhn.[6]
An individual named Arys was a member of the Fighters Guild who died while attempting to destroy one of the Dark Anchors at Gil-Var-Delle.[7]
Third EraEdit
The status of House Arys in the Third Era is unknown, but their ancestral tomb remained near Tel Branora as of 3E 427. By this time, it was inhabited by the undead.[4]
