Sed-Yenna was a humble shepherdess who ascended Sancre Tor, where she discovered the infant Reman. She named him and played a crucial role in securing his enthronement as the Emperor of Cyrodiil.[1]
HistoryEdit
The exact origins of Sed-Yenna are largely unknown, but she was remembered as a humble shepherdess and dedicated follower of Dibella, and had a younger sister named Shonni-Et.[1][UOL 1] According to the Remanada, in the years preceding, but leading up to 1E 2703, when Reman had already reached adulthood,[2] King Hrol encountered the spirit of Empress Alessia, who held the Dragonfire Covenant in one hand and the Amulet of Kings in the other. In what may have been a divinely inspired, yet seemingly mad, attempt to restore the unity of the Empire, Hrol made an union with a hillock he believed housed Alessia’s spirit. He perished soon after, but nine months later, the mound of earth began to grow into a small mountain, stirring rumors among the local shepherds and bulls.[1]
As this hill, which would later be called the Golden Hill, or Sancre Tor, continued to churn, a small community of believers gathered. It was Sed-Yenna, daring to ascend the hill after hearing a mysterious cry, who discovered at its peak an infant she named Reman, meaning "Light of Man." In the child’s forehead was the Amulet of Kings, the Chim-el Adabal, burning with the dragonfires of ancient promise. None dared stop Sed-Yenna as she carried the newborn to the steps of the White-Gold Tower. Upon the Ruby Throne, the infant spoke as an adult, declaring, "I AM CYRODIIL COME."[1] Thereafter, it became the duty of Sed-Yenna and Shonni-Et to become the midwives of Reman, and to raise him in the Dibellan fashion of the Nibenese.[UOL 1] He later rose to become a grand ruler, known as the "Son of the West," uniting many disparate factions under his leadership during the Akaviri Invasion.[2]
