Detailed WalkthroughEdit
MinersEditA Helping HeroEditAfter you have completed three or more miscellaneous quests, including The Abandoned Miner, Drunk Tom Albin will seek you out to deliver a note from the miners. Noises in the NightEditWinston is requesting your help with some "strange noises" which seem to be coming from the mine's Lower Shaft. Meet up with him and he will provide you with the key to the shaft. What was that?EditThe shaft is quite small, therefore you'll have no trouble finding the source of the noises: a zombie. The close quarters and darkness of the shaft, along with the zombie's strangely high health make the ensuing combat quite a decent challenge. The fight has caused a cave-in and you may be able to see an Ayleid door, although you cannot activate it. The Gift of GratitudeEditHead back to Winston to inform him about the latest developments. While he can only reward you with his gratitude, he will direct you to the mine's foreman: Rogkuroth gro-Budok. Seek him out, and he tells you he'll have the entrance cleared. He also tells you about the secret pact between the miners and Father Ambrogio and of the shaft used to deliver supplies. He gives you the key to open the door and asks you to find out what's amiss. This will add the Father in Trouble quest to your journal. Dude... I'm an Orc!EditOnce you have established Father Ambrogio is fine, find Rogkuroth; who tells you he's decided to go check out the new door. Follow him to the shaft and enter Vassa for the first time. Four more zombies are present in the ruin—help Rogkuroth dispose of them and then talk to him to find out that he wants to meet up at the bonfire in the mine's main shaft to discuss future plans. Follow him back and talk to him again, he says he needs more time to think about what to do. In the meantime, he tasks you with involving the Eulius brothers in this business. |
PolleEditInterested in a Job?EditOnce you have finished at least three quests around Stirk, but not The Abandoned Miner, Therander Polle himself will seek you out and offer you a job. You are to find out what has been causing the "strange noises" in the mine's newest shaft. He presents you with a key and sends you off. Undead CleansingEditTherander will reward you with 150 gold and tell you to come back the next day once the rubble is cleared. When you check back he'll direct you to Marks, his undercover agent in the mine. Meet up with him and proceed to the door leading to the ruin. Once inside, aid Marks in killing off the four zombies present. After the abominable creatures are finally laid to rest, talk to Marks, who tells you he is going to report back to Polle for orders and asks you to find the Eulius brothers. |
NotesEdit
- The zombie you encounter in the shaft has an incredible amount of health. While at lower levels this can be overcome, after level 35 the value will zoom over 3000.

65 | Marks and I have killed four zombies in the ruin behind the Ancient Door. Apart from that, the ruin seems to be pretty empty.
70 | Rogkuroth and myself have purged the lower mine shaft of the undead that plagued it. I should find Rogkuroth at the bonfire so we can discuss the next course of action.
80 | Rogkuroth has regrouped on his plans. The situation has gotten to a point where it is too much for him to do it alone. |
- Notes
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
