Quest-Related EventsEdit
Meeting him in Muth Gnaar you'll find him in a ruined house attending to an Afflicted Commoner:
- "Hmm. I see cunning in your eyes and smell blood on your weapon. But if you're a Vereansu, I'm a bloated netch.
What brings you to Muth Gnaar?" - Dolril? Senar sent me to find you.
- "Healer Senar worries too much. I never ran from a battle in my life, and I ain't about to start now."
- Between the Vereansu and the plague husks, it's not safe here.
- "The Vereansu, bah! They fear the Llodos plague. Their solution is to capture our monks and the afflicted alike and toss 'em in the fire.
I won't stand for it. I traded my sword for a monk's robe, but I'm no coward!" - I can help rescue the captives.
- "That's the spirit! If it's quiet in the east, run west, I always say. Just watch out for the plague husks and rescue who you can.
I'll take this poor soul and deliver her to Healer Senar."
He will leave with the survivor:
- Dolril Belvayn: "Come child. Let's get you to safety."
He will be captured by the Ashlanders after you rescued the survivors. You'll find him chained to a post in a house that is about to be burned down.
- "It's about time you showed up! I was beginning to get a bit charred around the edges."
- Let's get you out of here.
- "Fire! Is the Vereansu's answer to everything. To them, it purifies plague victims and blasphemers alike.
Those kwama droppings! I tried to circle around a pack of plague husks and ran right into an Ashlander patrol." - I saved everyone I could. It's time to go.
He will urge you to find the relic before the Vereansu destroy it:
- "We can't go. Not yet! The Vereansu believe we defiled the Tear of Saint Veloth. They plan to destroy it.
We have to get to the monastery and save the Tear. If they destroy it, we're all lost." - All right. Let's go to the monastery.
Speaking to him again after you free him:
- "Thanks for helping me out of that spot of trouble. I'll follow you to the monastery and help protect the Tear."
Enter the monastery and Doril will lead you down to the basement:
- Dolril Belvayn: "The tear is kept below in the basement. Let's go get it!"
As he goes for the Tear, he'll be thrown back by a magical shock by Wise Woman Malinu Laetha:
- Dolril Belvayn: "Gahhh!"
If you try to go to his aid, he'll only say:
- "Go! Go! Don't worry about me. Get the Tear!"
After defeating the Wise Woman Malinu Laetha and saving the Tear:
- "Gods! I haven't been hit like that since the war. Witch must have put a hex on the Tear.
Did you see that? Threw me clear across the room!" - Here's the Tear of Saint Veloth.
- "By Veloth's hammer, that's the best news I've heard all day.
Listen, the Vereansu are never going to leave us be. Not while their leader's still alive. I know that sounds terrible, but it's true." - And you want me to stop him?
- "Yes. Ashkhan Ginasa leads these Ashlanders. Go to the Vereansu camp and kill him.
Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies. Then they won't threaten the Tear of Saint Veloth ever again."
With the final task given, he will ask you to meet him back at the camp:
- Dolril Belvayn: "Meet me on the north road when you finish."
Speaking to him again before setting out to kill the Ashkhan:
- "My bell got rung a bit, so I'm just going to sit here for a while.
Meet me on the north road when the deed is done."
After killing the Ashkhan, he will be back at the camp:
- "Is it done? I put the Tear of Saint Veloth in a safe place.
Now maybe the Ashlanders will leave us alone." - The Vereansu leader is dead.
- "By the Three, let's hope the Vereansu go home now. I just pray I haven't made things worse. I left the army to get the blood off my hands, but look how that turned out. You killed him, but I let the arrow fly.
Still, you have my thanks."
After the quest:
- "We'll gather up the survivors and begin our work anew. The afflicted need us, and they need the Tear.
I'll just try to keep in mind that I always need to look before I leap."
NotesEdit
- Interestingly, he will follow you outside of Muth Gnaar no matter how far you go while you're trying to find the Tear of Saint Veloth in Honor Bound.
