Perhaps the most stubborn fortification in Cyrodiil, Leyawiin Castle has endured centuries of flooding and turmoil. But despite all the odds, it remains Cyrodiil's gatekeeper-a tireless sentry that holds the depredations of Topal pirates and hostile armies at bay.
Leyawiin Castle

Leyawiin Castle is a castle that serves as the seat of Leyawiin's government. The castle is only an instanced loading zone with enemies during An Unexpected Adversary. Otherwise, it can be entered freely.

Leyawiin Castle CourtyardEdit

Two Leyawiin Brigadines stand watch in the courtyard outside the front door. A group of Leyawiin Brigadines hone their skills in the training yard outside in the courtyard. Berinlor can be found sweeping the courtyard.

Leyawiin CastleEdit

The throne room

Blackwood Guards patrol the halls of the castle. The kitchen is located in the northwest corner of the castle. There are two cooking fires in this room. A door leading into the Guard Tower is located at the corner of the hallway leading into the kitchen. There is a master safebox upstairs, on the center platform above Countess Caro's throne. Another master-level safebox is located in a room on the second floor, northeast of the first safebox. Countess Caro's Birthday can be found atop a dresser in one of these rooms.

There's a spiral staircase near this safebox with an inaccessible ladder at the top. The staircase is accessed from the hallway heading east from the throne room's front entrance. Likewise, the guard tower's entrance is at the bottom of the stairs heading west from the throne room's front entrance.

There are statues of Sai Sahan, Zenithar, Saint Kaladas, and Kynareth in the throne room.

Leyawiin Castle East HallEdit

Leyawiin Castle East Hall

The East Hall is inaccessible until the very end of the Gates of Oblivion storyline, during the quest Hope Springs Eternal. Eveli's Speech Ideas can be found at the foot of a statue in the hallway leading to the main chamber.

Hostile InstanceEdit

You'll enter the castle from the barracks. Shelves have been knocked over, stray fruit and leaflets lie on the floor. Containers you'd normally have to steal from can be looted freely.

The first two enemies you'll encounter after you climb the stairs are a Waking Flame Armamancer harassing a castle servant and a Waking Flame Elementalist. Further in, a portal opens that will dispense a solitary Scamp. Another armamancer and a Waking Flame Conjurer lie ahead cornering a kneeling and nameless Dark Brotherhood assassin. Councilors Vandacia and Faleria are ahead. A scamp stands over a corpse in a side room before the balcony. A Waking Flame Armamancer and a flame atronach will appear out of portals once you pass the balcony, and a clannfear can be seen eating a civilian corpse on the other end of the U-shaped room.

A Waking Flame Conjurer and a scamp stand among the burning furniture down the next flight of stairs. A Waking Flame Ranger stands in the middle of the next hallway. Another conjurer emerges from a portal at the end of the hallway near a toppled shrine of Kynareth. A conjurer and a clannfear stand in the middle of the next room. Two clannfear are chowing down on a corpse in the next room. In the front foyer, an armored daedroth feasts on Councilor Faleria's corpse. The other rooms are blocked off by burning furniture: the only way forward is out the front gate to the courtyard, where you'll fight the Disciple of Aspiration.
