Quick WalkthroughEdit

1. Speak to Solvus Orrich in Goldstone's Great Hall about duties and Sload soap.
2. Ask either Breathes-Deep, Danura Dalen or Thirroth about Sload soap (requires 30-70 disposition).
3. Talk to West Navy members in the city about Sload soap.
4. Read Pona's Journal in her apartment in the Navy Officer Lodgings of Anvil's Port Quarter.
5. Kill N'Dengu at Carthalo.
6. Return to Solvus.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Once you have attained Bailiff rank within the Kingdom of Anvil faction, speak to Solvus Orrich for more duties. He is concerned about recent large quantities of Sload soap appearing in Anvil, and believes that someone - somewhere - has struck a deal with the Sload to obtain this supply. Solvus suggests asking around the city alchemists to see what they know.

Talk to Anvil's alchemists about the Sload soap topic. Two have useful responses at 30+ disposition - Danura Dalen in the Bazaar of the Abecean and Breathes-Deep in his nearby store, while Thirroth in Little Arenthia will provide much the same intelligence at 70+ disposition. In short, a Bosmer in the uniform of the West Navy has been selling the soap.

It's time to start questioning Navy members about Sload soap. They'll name one Lieutenant Pona as an individual who fits the description. Pona has an apartment in the Navy Officer Lodgings in the Port Quarter (behind the Harbormaster building). Occupants of this building will point you to the apartment itself - on the third floor and on your right as you reach the top of the steps. A level 40 locked door bars your way - you'll need to bypass it with spell or pick. Then read the journal on top of Pona's bed. It mentions an encounter with a Sload in the ruin of Carthalo, and the subsequent striking of an accord with it in which Pona sold information on the Navy in exchange for Sload Soap to sell.

Carthalo stands on the Viduscan Isles to the west of Anvil, and will now be marked on your map. Travel there. Expect a fight almost immediately on entry with both Pona and the Sload N'Dengu. Only the latter needs to die to be able to complete the quest.

Once N'Dengu is dead, return to Solvus with the news. He'll pay you well for your efforts.

30		I was told that the description of the Sload soap seller matched that of a Navy Lieutenant named Pona. She lives in the Navy Officer Lodgings, in the northwest part of the Port Quarter.
40		I found a journal in the Navy Officer Lodgings detailing Pona's trip to and from Carthalo, a Reman ruin in the Viduscan Isles. Apparently, there is a Sload there that has been trading Sload soap for information on Anvil and the Imperial Navy.
100	Finishes quest	As thanks for killing the Sload and stopping the flow of Sload soap, Solvus Orrich gave me 400 gold.
