Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Halfway through The Guardian Vault during the Dawnfang/Duskfang Quest, in the green room on a table to the left of the torture devices, there is a note with a dagger through it. On reading Verrick's Note, a miscellaneous side quest is added, 'Investigate Faldar's Tooth.' Leave the Ratway and head over.

Arriving at Faldar's Tooth, there is a bandit labeled 'Bouncer' and 2 pit wolves outside. As you enter, there is another bandit labeled 'Bouncer' immediately inside. Straight ahead through the narrow passageway, turn right into the main room. You come out on a wooden deck, with barrels and sacks to your left, and stairs down to your right. The room has a cage in the middle, with 2 fighting wolves inside. There are 2 gamblers and a barkeep who will all become hostile to you as you enter. As the fighting starts, a levelled bandit labeled 'the butcher' will come out from the back room. This enemy has strong levelled gear, so be careful. Along the wall, there is a gambler cage, which has inside gold, many coin purses, skooma, a healing potion, a levelled chest, and the Cage Bandit's Note, giving you a new miscellaneous objective to 'Retrieve Bloodthirst from Broken Fang Cave'.

As you get to Broken Fang Cave, you will enter into a small corridor, with a staircase leading down into a large room. There are many raised platforms with empty crypts along the walls, and a cafe and chains hanging from the ceiling. As you walk down, there is a Vampire sitting in the room who will attack. If you have Dawnguard installed, this may be a Volkihar Vampire. There are 3 skeletons to the left of the room who will join the attack. Once you deal with the enemies, you can continue forward through the room. There is an adept locked chest in the Southeast corner.

From here, the western raised platform has a doorway leading to a narrow walkway. You come out into a nicer looking small room with a high levelled Vampire. The room has an alchemy lab to the right, a dead bandit and a cage in front of you, a large table with platters along the wall to your left, and a small table with 3 chairs in the middle. As you walk in you'll see 2 beds to the side, an enchanter in an alcove next to the cage, and a double bed with a bookshelf to the right of it and a boss chest on its left. This chest contains Bloodthirst and some levelled loot. As you collect Bloodthirst the objective will complete, and you're free to leave back the way you came in.

BugsEdit

  • Reading Verrick's note may not start the quest on the Nintendo Switch ?

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ccBGSSSE013_BloodthirstQuest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest ccBGSSSE013_BloodthirstQuest.
