Sanguine is a Daedric Prince whose sphere is hedonistic revelry, debauchery, and passionate indulgences of darker natures. He is initially met under the disguised persona of Sam Guevenne.

In earlier versions of the quest, Sanguine's dialogue was slightly different:
- "I am Sanguine, Daedric Prince of Debauchery!"
- "I know, I know, how could I lie to you? Well, how could I trust you until we've shared a few drinks?"
- "But it wasn't long before I realized you'd make a more interesting bearer of my not-quite-holy staff than this waste of flesh."
- "Details, details. The Sanguine Rose breaks all the time and is fixed with but a thought."
- "In fact, here it is now. Think of it - a never-ending stream of minions. And all of the prestige of being Sanguine's chosen."
NotesEdit
- Sanguine cannot be pickpocketed.
- He is one of three Daedric Princes to make an appearance in humanoid form, the others being Sheogorath and Nocturnal.
BugsEdit
- After completion of quest A Night To Remember, you may find him roaming around Morvunskar, killing every mage he can find. Since he is essential, he will always win.
The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 2.0.0, fixes this bug.
