Otrebus Delagia, a crime lord from Cyrodiil

Otrebus Delagia is an Imperial enforcer and crime lord who has recently set up shop in the Morrowind city of Old Ebonheart, where he maintains a home. While he appears to be operating on orders from "the big bosses back in Cyrodiil", he still wields a considerable amount of power himself - having numerous goons at his disposal throughout the Thieves Guild questline.

For protection, he wears a Nordic iron cuirass. For clothing, he wears a common shirt, a pair of extravagant pants, a pair of extravagant shoes, and a pair of common gloves. He wields a Dwemer Jinksword and carries an Imperial shortsword, a bottle of Colovian battlewine, and a key to the various doors throughout his house.

Aside from his natural charm and ability to absorb fatigue from others, he knows the following spells: Blood Sacrifice, Greater Fireball, Firefist, Greater Frostball, and Frostfist. He also has a natural weakness to poison.

On the ground floor, there is a bottle of Cyrodiilic brandy on the small table next to Gura gra-Lagrob, and an emerald on the scales on the table near Medemilian Rane. The locked storage room (80) near the stairs contains a total of 237 gold spread across 4 containers and a few loose samples. On the second floor, there is a bottle of Colovian battlewine on the dining table, and a nearby cupboard contains a bottle of flin. In the attic, there is a bottle of rare vintage Colovian battlewine and a bottle of Wolfsblood wine.

DialogueEdit

  • Greetings:
(Upon first meeting):
"Just who the hell do you think you are, barging in here uninvited? No, don't answer. I don't care. Talk to Medemilian Rane if you want to do business with us." Goodbye
"I didn't invite you here, %PCName. Get the hell out. Last warning." Goodbye (Disposition -10)
"I told you to leave, but have it your way... [Otrebus Delagia raises his voice to alert his gang.] Oi! Boys! Go alert the guards! We have a trespasser over here!" Goodbye (Bounty +500, and Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura-gra-Lagrob start attacking you)

Thieves Guild: Infiltrating the GangEdit

  • Greetings:
(Before joining the gang):
"Why do you disrespect me like this -- coming here uninvited? Leave." Goodbye
(Upon first meeting):
"So... you are the newcomer. I am Otrebus Delagia, boss of this organization. I've heard a great deal about you, %PCName. Good things... mostly. I have a business proposition I'd like to discuss with you... in private." (See 'Continue' choice below)
"Ah, %PCName. You did well to answer my invitation. I've heard a great deal about you, most of it good. I have a business proposition I'd like to discuss with you... in private."
  • Continue:
"Lieutenant! Thank you for your help, but I no longer need your assistance. The situation is under control. You and your men are dismissed. Give the captain my regards, won't you?" Goodbye (The guards in the room disappear)
"Good. We can talk freely now. The townsguard is a handy thing to have, but I don't need those weekend legionnaires listening in on my conversations. I have a proposition for you -- one that will benefit us both. But first tell me... why did you want to join Delagia's gang?"
"Kill Moranie. Kill Fentus. Kill Yggulf. That's your job."
  • I'll be going then.:
"Let me know when they are all dead. They'll be sorry they sent you to join Delagia's gang!"
  • This deal calls for a toast, don't you think?:
"A toast? Indeed. That would be befitting. This is a momentous occasion. The Guild will be wiped out and we alone will control the city. Go fetch a bottle of something suitable and we shall drink. But don't forget that your real job is to kill the three thieves."
  • I've changed my mind. I won't be killing anyone.:
"Hmph. There's no room in our organization for someone so indecisive. Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
"Kill Moranie. Kill Fentus. Kill Yggulf. They'll be sorry they sent you to join Delagia's gang! And as for the toast you suggested, just fetch a bottle of something suitable and we shall drink."
"Kill Moranie. Kill Fentus. Kill Yggulf. They'll be sorry they sent you to join Delagia's gang!"
(If he is attacking you):
"Why... won't... you... die?" Goodbye (Fight set to 100, he continues attacking you)
(If you have killed Cap'n Fentus, Wry-Eye Moranie, and Yggulf the Mute and been paid):
"You were paid, weren't you? Now get the hell out of here." Goodbye (Disposition -10, Fight +5)
(If you have blackmailed him into leaving Old Ebonheart):
"I have accepted your terms. Delagia's gang will leave Old Ebonheart. You can keep this miserable town to yourself." Goodbye
(If you were arrested during the quest):
"I'm not talking to you. You and your pitiful Guild are my enemies." Goodbye (Disposition -10)
(If he has been poisoned):
"[The poisoned Otrebus Delagia is unable to speak. His eyes are weeping blood.]" Goodbye (Disposition -10)
  • Colovian battlewine:
"Colovian battlewine, eh? I'd rather toast with something sweeter."
  • join Delagia's gang:
"Actually... before you answer my question, let me tell you what I think, thief. I think the Guild sent you to infiltrate my organization so you could murder me. Am I right? Be truthful, %PCName. I promise you no harm will come to you under my roof for speaking the truth."
  • Something like that, yes.:
"So, I was right. I respect your honesty, %PCName. I even respect the courage you have to come here, even though you are my enemy. But maybe -- seeing how we share a mutual respect -- we need not be enemies anymore. As I said, I have a proposition for you." (Disposition +10, see choices below)
  • No.:
"Why do you insult me so, %PCName? I already know the truth, I just wanted to hear it from your lips. We might be enemies but at least we could share a mutual respect. You disappoint me. But... maybe we didn't need to be enemies anymore. As I said, I have a proposition for you." (Disposition -10)
  • I have something to say to you, too.:
"And you'll get to say what you have to say, but first listen to me. Don't forget that you are a guest in my house." (Disposition -5, see 'What is it?' choice)
  • What is it?:
"The Guild sent you to assassinate me. That's fair. I don't blame them for trying. But this is a gang war that I'm not aiming to lose. So, I'm making you a counter offer, %PCName. I'm offering you 10,000 septims for killing Cap'n Fentus and his lieutenants Wry-Eye Moranie and Yggulf the Mute. Does this sound acceptable? Will you kill them for me?"
  • Could you put that in writing?:
"My word's not good enough for you, huh? Is that it? I always hold up my end, %PCName. I will pay you 10,000 for this job. Now... what do you say?" (Disposition -10, go back to 'Yes' and 'No' choices)
(If your Speechcraft ≥ 50):
"I understand why you'd want it on paper. But you'll just have to take my word for it. Leaving a paper trail, I've learned, can cause trouble in this line of work. I always hold up my end, %PCName. I will pay you 10,000 for this job. Now... what do you say?" (Disposition +5, go back to 'Yes' and 'No' choices)
  • Yes.:
"A wise choice. I knew you weren't a fool." (Disposition +20)
  • I'll be going then.:
"Come back when Fentus and his lieutenants are dead." Goodbye
  • This deal calls for a toast, don't you think?:
"No, %PCName. Now is the time for action. We can make toasts after my enemies are dead. Go and kill them!" Goodbye (Disposition -5)
(If your Personality and Speechcraft ≥ 35):
"A toast? Indeed. That would be befitting. This is a momentous occasion. The Guild will be wiped out and we alone will control the city. Go fetch a bottle of something suitable and we shall drink." Goodbye
  • I've changed my mind. I won't be killing anyone.:
"Hmph. There's no room in our organization for someone so indecisive. Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
  • No.:
"You should rethink that... The Thieves Guild is a pitiful organization. Don't even know how to bribe the guards properly. They're on their way out. We, on the other hand, are expanding. All I gotta do is write one letter and I can have 20 ruffians on the next boat from Cyrodiil coming here. We are going to seize all the Guild's properties for ourselves and kill them to the last man. There's no future for you in Old Ebonheart if you stay with them. But if you do this job you'll walk away from all this rich." (Disposition -5)
  • Okay. I'll do it.: (See 'A wise choice...' response above)
  • The answer is still no.:
"A shame. Well, you have listened to and refused my very generous offer. What sort of deal do you propose yourself?" (Disposition -5)
  • I propose no deals. Time for you to die.:
"Have it your way, assassin! Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
  • I want you and your gang to leave Old Ebonheart and never return.:
"What makes you think you're in the position of making such bold demands?" (Disposition -5)
  • Actually, I've changed my mind. I'll kill Fentus and the others for you.: (See 'A wise choice...' response above)
  • You are alone in this room with me.:
"Should I be scared? If you want to fight me, just say so. It can be arranged." (Go back to other choices, including 'Time for you to die')
(If your Speechcraft ≥ 95 with a 2/3 chance of succeeding OR your Level ≥ 24 and your Speechcraft ≥ 20 with a 2/3 chance of succeeding):
"[Otrebus Delagia is visibly nervous.] But... but... you wouldn't really try to assassinate me here and now, would you? Surely..." (Disposition +15, also see 'I have the documents...', 'Time for you to die', and 'changed my mind' choices)
  • Ready to listen to reason now?:
"Reason? How dare you! You might be intimidating, %PCName, but... this is my town! Not yours! I've had enough of you. Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
(If you have the Incriminating Delagia Papers):
"Reason? How dare you! You might be intimidating, %PCName, but... this is still my town! I call the shots! ME!" (Disposition -5, see 'I have the documents', 'Time for you to die', and 'changed my mind' choices)
(If your Speechcraft ≥ 85 with a 1/4 chance of succeeding):
"Reason? Well... You've proven to be a lot more persuasive than what I anticipated. You want us to leave? Fine. I accept your terms. Me and my gang will return to Cyrodiil. You can keep this sorry town to yourself." (Disposition +5)
  • S'varr isn't as dead as you think.:
"A testimony of a Khajiit beggar? That's your trump card? No court on Nirn would ever waste their time listening to him. Besides... it's only a matter of time before he meets his end." (Disposition -5, go back to other choices)
  • I have the documents S'varr stole from you.:
"[Otrebus Delagia is visibly nervous.] You... have... the missing pages of our black ledger? Those could send me to the deepest dungeon of the Imperial Prison for a long time." (Disposition +15, also see 'time to die' and 'changed my mind' choices)
  • Ready to listen to reason now?:
"Reason? How dare you! You think you can extort me? Extortion is my game! And this is my town. I've had enough of you. I'll just kill you and be done with all this. Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
(If you have the Incriminating Delagia Papers in your inventory):
"Is this your first time blackmailing someone, %PCName? Because you have made a rookie mistake... You shouldn't have brought the pages here with you. Now I can just kill you and be done with this. Oi! Boys! %PCName here wants to die!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
(If your Speechcraft ≥ 50):
"You've proven to be a lot more persuasive than what I anticipated, I'll give you that. But... us leaving? Just accepting defeat without a fight? That doesn't sit well with me. And the big bosses back in Cyrodiil wouldn't like it either. I'm not in for a warm welcome, if I lose Old Ebonheart..." (Also see 'time to die' and 'changed my mind' choices)
  • Know when you're beaten, Otrebus. At least in Cyrodiil you have a fighting chance. / Just tell your bosses that Old Ebonheart is under Guild control now.:
"No... no... I find this unacceptable. I'm afraid we're going resolve this the old-fashioned way. Winner takes all. Time for you to die, %PCName!" Goodbye (Disposition -30, Fight set to 95, and he, Norri the Crow, Pulso Pollex, and Gura gra-Lagrob start attacking you)
(If your Speechcraft ≥ 75, your Personality ≥ 60, and your Level ≥ 5):
"Hmmph... As much as I'd like to settle this the old-fashioned way, I accept your terms. Me and my gang will return to Cyrodiil... You and your Guild can keep this sorry town to yourselves." Goodbye (Disposition +5)
"Cap'n Fentus, Yggulf the Mute and Wry-Eye Moranie aren't all dead yet. Come back when they are."
(If Cap'n Fentus, Wry-Eye Moranie, and Yggulf the Mute are dead):
"They're all dead? Here's your 10,000 septims. Now get the hell out of my sight. I don't like traitors. Even ones that are working for me." Goodbye (You receive 10,000 gold)
"I don't need to understand why you helped her. But the fact you got things done -- that's what gained my attention."
"Collateral damage. Part of the business. You understand."
  • S'varr must die:
"If people double-cross me and I let them live, that's perceived as weakness. That's no way to run a business. That's why S'varr had to die."
"Yes, we could toast with that."
(If you have a bottle of Wayrest Spiced Wine and/or a bottle of Poisoned Wayrest Spiced Wine):
"Wayrest spiced wine? That is suitable."
  • [Offer him Poisoned Wayrest Spiced Wine.]:
"Good. Let's drink. To the death of our enemies! *Cough cough*" Goodbye (Disposition +10, and removed 1 Poisoned Wayrest Spiced Wine from your inventory)
  • [Offer him normal Wayrest Spiced Wine.]:
"Good. Let's drink. To the death of our enemies!" Goodbye (Disposition +10, and removed 1 Wayrest Spiced Wine from your inventory)
  • Let's drink something else.:
"Fine." (Disposition -10)
