Cedus Perusius

Cedus Perusius, an Imperial pawnbroker, is the owner of Ice-Wind Traders, a general goods store in Bruma.

Cedus wakes up early every morning at 6am and grabs a quick breakfast before opening his store for trading at 8am. For the next twelve hours he can be found behind his counter, buying and selling any item. At 8pm he locks up and heads to the Jerall View Inn to share some food and drink with Bruma's wealthy denizens. At midnight, he will return home and head to bed. The only exception to this schedule is on Sundas, when he locks up early at 5pm and visits the Cathedral of St. Martin to pray.

Cedus wears Cyrodiilic merchant clothes and matching boots, and is armed with a steel sword. He also carries the keys to the store and to a display case there, as well a random selection of gold, lockpicks, gems, jewelry, food and drink.

DialogueEdit

When walking into his store, Cedus will greet you warmly:

"Name's Cedus Perusius, owner and proprietor of Ice-Wind Traders here in Bruma. A diverse and wide range of supplies and sundries, all under one roof."
"Welcome to Ice-Wind Traders. If you don't see what you need out here, let me know. Might have it in the back."
"From bread to battleaxes, spoons to swords, I have it all here at Ice-Wind Traders!"

If you ask him what he sells he exclaims:

"Why, my friend, surely the better question is, what DON'T I sell? I sell anything and everything... or thereabouts."

Should you enquire about his most popular items, he will reflect:

"Hmm... most things are very popular. The only thing that isn't popular is cutlery. Turns out the Nords aren't all that big on table etiquette."

Asking how goes his business, he will explain: "Business is always good for a general goods merchant like myself, since I don't rely on any particular thing to draw in sales. Take poor old Fadel, the butcher, for example. If someone doesn't want meat, he doesn't have a customer. But me? Someone doesn't want meat, they want silverware. Don't want silverware? How about a potion? And so and so on and so on."

If you ask Stantus Faleria for rumors, you might hear about Cedus's misadventures:

"I heard the general store, Ice-Wind Traders, got robbed by the Khajiit, Dar'taqto. Or so Cedus says."

Indeed, Cedus has leveled charges against the cat, who will ask you for help in lifting them. He will promise that while he does sell pelts to Cedus at an inflated mark-up, he hasn't stolen from him.
