Greenspring Seeds are sacred seeds that are used by bosmer greenspeakers to grow forests and shape them into living spaces.[1] Greenspring rituals are used by the greenspeakers to accelerate their growth, and to weave tree-forts or seedpods.[2][3]
Wildburn SeedsEdit
Wildburn Seeds are greenspring seeds infused with corrupting daedric magic.[4][1] New Wildburn Seeds naturally sprout around the epicenter of the original Wildburn ritual that infused a Greenspring Seed with Daedric magic, thus causing the Wildburn to spread further.[5] They were used by the Recollection in the region of Strid Vale to grow the Dawnwood at an incredible pace, but also caused corrupting "Wildburn" effects on its outskirts that withers all nature. Their ultimate goal was to cover the entire West Weald in forest.
The wildburn corruption twists flora and drives fauna wild and feral.[6] Tharrikers appeared in West Weald shortly after the creation of Dawnwood and Wildburn regions, possibly because of it.[7]
The Recollection created the Wildburn Seeds through a ritual using the Staff of Many Paths, using them to cover much of the West Weald in thick jungle overnight. When King Nantharion's involvement with the Recollection was discovered by the Vestige, he attempted to use the Staff to create a new Wildburn Seed, but the interruption of the ritual caused the Seed's energies to be released prematurely, destroying the Recollection's living fortress of Hoperoot. At Miscarcand Nantharion attempted to use the Staff to drain the energies of the great Ayleid Well in order to restore the Daedric Prince Ithelia to her ancient power and create a Wildburn that'd cover all of the West Weald, however he was slain by the Vestige before he could unleash the Wildburn.[4][8][9][10]
