When Imperial Potentate Versidue-Shaie wanted a distant dungeon to house the most feared criminal and political prisoners of the Second Empire, he ordered a penal institution built on the coast of Black Marsh; it was named Blackrose Prison after the ancient city a day's march to the north.
|
Blackrose Prison is a group-based arena in Murkmire, located southeast of Dead-Water Village.
The prison was originally ran by the Imperials during their attempted conquest of the region, but fell into disuse around a century ago, where it then became the founding place of the Blackguards, and remains their headquarters to this day.
Here, they run battles to the death, against challengers, or even putting some prisoners they capture through the gauntlet for their own amusement.

WalkthroughEdit
Blackrose Prison has both a Normal and a Veteran Mode, which can be accessed by changing your group settings before entering the prison. Each round takes places in a different section of the prison, and is itself split up into several rounds of enemy waves before a final boss fight. At the end of each round, you will receive a chest containing loot.
Round 1: Derelict Prison YardEdit

Round 2: Hall of BeastsEdit
The unique mechanic in this round is the presence of two massive and invulnerable Bull Netches that patrol the arena slowly. They are coated in a lightning aura that inflicts continuous moderate shock damage if standing near them.
They will periodically flap their tentacles, releasing a noxious gas, indicated by large circular AoE, dealing high continuous poison damage if standing inside. If you come close to them, they swat you with their tentacles dealing high physical damage.
Starting with Round 3, a slightly smaller Betty Netch is added to the arena. Starting with Round 4, another Betty Netch is added. They cannot be harmed like the Bull Netches and have the same attack as them, however, instead of releasing a noxious gas, they release a static field, dealing the same amount of damage but with shock instead of poison.

If you approach them, they shoot a bolt of energy at you, dealing high magical damage. At the start of the round, only three are present but the more the rounds go on, more will appear.
These later play a more specific role in the boss encounter. One of Drakeeh's abilities involve sending out magical bolts to three of the ghosts roaming around. Golden circles then appear around them. They must be reached to absorb their energy, which then must be cleansed at a sigil nearby, otherwise massive damage is inflcited.
