I found a scroll in a house in the Elven Gardens. Attached was a note asking the finder to return the scroll to Rindaelion in the Market District.

You would have found Rindaelion's Scroll while wandering through the city.

This scroll caught your eye. A note on it reads, "If found, please return to Rindaelion in the Market District."
An address is scribbled on the the [sic] note.

Rindaelion, obviously, lived somewhere in the market district. You would have found him dead and examined his corpse to loot some gold coins from his pocket.

Rindaelion seems to have been dead for some time. You place the scroll in his pocket.
The pocket contains some gold coins, for which Rindaelion no longer has any use.
